European Board Examination in Endocrinology

Registration for the 2019 European Board Examination in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism will be open from 20 February to 20 March 2019.

Following a successful introduction in 2018, the 2nd European Board Examination will be held on 12 June 2019 and will again be available to take locally at across Europe, allowing candidates to take part without the need for unnecessary travel costs.

Developed by ESE and UEMS as a direct result of calls from the ESE Council of Affiliated Societies (ECAS) and its 51 ESE Affiliated Society members to standardise education across Europe, the European Board Exam offers candidates the opportunity to gain internationally standardised recognition of their clinical expertise.

The examination is high quality, clinically relevant and accessible, enabling European clinical endocrinologists to assess their competence and receive certification endorsed by both organisations. It is computer-based, with multiple choice questions presenting clinical scenarios which assess candidates’ medical knowledge as well as competency in diagnosis, investigation, management and prognosis. The examination is available to be taken locally at independently operated assessment centres across Europe and has a registration fee of €750.

Applications for the 2019 examination will be accepted between 20 February 2019 and 20 March 2019.

The European Society of Endocrinology are offering 25 Grants of €375 towards the registration fee for the 2019 European Board Examination in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
